Evolution Of The RV

In 1910, David Woodworth, Al Hesselbart and Roger White began what is now known as the RV industry with their revolutionary manufactured recreation vehicle.    The RV Lifestyle was popularized by a group of famous men (Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone and John Burroughs)  from 1913 to 1924 as the press followed their cross-country caravanning each year on their annual camping trip.  The group traveled in style - bringing with them a custom Lincoln truck that they had equipped with the luxuries of a camp kitchen.

From the Earl Trailer and model T Ford (on display locally at the RV Hall of Fame) to the 1958 Platt 10x45 Home and it's peaked shingled roof, the RV has continued to evolve and entice enthusiasts.  When your coach is serviced by Pro Custom, Inc., you can visit incredible pieces of RV history in person by visiting the RV/MH Hall of Fame right here in Elkhart, Indiana or stop by one of the numerous RV manufacturers throughout the area.  We're located in the heart of the RV Industry and are always happy to provide our clients with directions, reservations and information about the local area attractions they desire to visit.
